Just in case you were wondering, this is why sitting inside building my new 3D printer seems like such a good idea...

I could understand that. People weren’t meant to go out in it, and certainly not very far. 100+ years ago, when it looked like that outside your window, you might go do a handful of basic chores outside (ish, maybe mostly in a barn), then you just huddle around a stove inside.

I’m so fucking sick of this weather.
This winter has made up my mind that I’m looking to move south in the next 5 or so years. Every year I hate it more.

I love winter, but only for as long as it should last. It’s taking it’s sweet goddamn time getting over with itself this year.

I’d be cool with a month, maybe two. Six is way too much.

lol, no.
100 years ago in Northern VT people put on proper clothing and did what needed to be done to get about their business, whether it was farming, or travelling, or building or whatever. Pretty much the same as they do today.
An inch or two of snow in VT is called Tuesday, not stay inside and huddle around a stove day.
Honestly, anything above 0F isn’t that cold and you can spend pretty much all day out in it with just the basics of winter clothing while staying moderately active.
